Chetan Bhagat

chetan-bhagatChetan Bhagat is one of the most popular novelists in India, whose books have been adapted into movies. Chetan Bhagat was born on 22nd April 1974 in New Delhi, India. After finishing school at The Army Public School in New Delhi, he joined IIT Delhi. He completed a post graduation course from IIM Ahmedabad. He is a good writer and even I started reading novel because of his simple English (Just imagine how simple and understandable his English is?).

This all three books talk something usual that we see in our routine life. But way he tells the story is really admiring. Every one who read these books will have a nice in their life. My most favorite book is “Five point Someone”

This book is about a three guys in IIT (Hari, Alok and Ryan). The book starts with a disclaimer, "This is not a book to teach you how to get into IIT or even how to live in college. In fact, it describes how screwed up things can get if you don't think straight." It’s all about how these three heroes survived there during their engineering studies.

This is some thing new and imaginary story with some practical perspective. The story about six call center employee Shyam, Priyanka, Vroom, Esha, Radhika, and Military Uncle. It has lot of drama with unpleasant things happening to all of the leading characters. The story takes a dramatic and decisive turn when they get a phone call from God.

The three mistakes of my life



3-mistakes

This is his third book based on a real story. The story about three guys Govind, Omi and Ali. Novel starts with an email to the author from Govind saying that he is going to commit suicide. Author trace out Govind location by his email ID thru orkut.com starts with technological stuffs like that.... Business, Cricket and Religion are the base of this story and it has a nice ending.

Smirn Off - Cosmopolitan Mix

This is a new experience of drink.
I had bought some Smirn-Off vodka from Bangalore.
We three karthi, Satheesh and I planned to drink this weekend.
We all searched online to have it with a proper mix.
And finally we decided to go for Cosmopolitan Mix.

Now what is called Cosmopolitan Mix...?

It's a mixture of Vodka, aerated water, lime juice and a strip of Green chili dipped inside.

Friends have a look at the below picture of how karthi beautifully decorated (anyhow that’s his job) the drink.

This is a question that has gone unanswered for centuries, but, now we
know. It requires a bit of explanation!!

If you put a woman on a pedestal and try to protect her from the rat race ... you're a male chauvinist.
If you stay home and do the housework... you're a pansy.
If you work too hard ... there's never any time for her.
If you don't work enough ... you're a good-for-nothing bum.

If she has a boring repetitive job with low pay ... this is exploitation.
If you have a boring repetitive job with low pay ... you should get off
your lazy behind and find something better.
If you get a promotion ahead of her ... that is favouritism.
If she gets a job ahead of you ... its equal opportunity.

If you mention how nice she looks ... its sexual harassment.
If you keep quiet ... its male indifference.
If you cry, you're a wimp.
If You don't ... you're an insensitive bastard.

If you make a decision Without consulting her . you're a chauvinist.
If she makes a decision without consulting you ... she's a liberated woman.

THE BRAIN OF AN INDIAN.

IT IS NOT A STORY BUT A TRUE INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED IN AMERICA.....

An Indian man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loanofficer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to India onbusiness for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.

The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form ofsecurity for the loan, so the Indian man hands over the keys to a newFerrariparked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the title andeverything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car ascollateral forthe loan.

The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at theIndian for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.Anemployee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank'sunderground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the Indian returns, repays the $5,000 and theinterest, which comes to $15.41.The loan officer says, "Sir, we are veryhappy tohave had your business, and this transaction has worked out verynicely,but we are alittle puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found thatyou are a multi millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother toborrow "$5,000"

The Indian replies: "Where else in New York City can I park my car fortwo weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return'"

Good moral!!!

Once a boy went to a shop with his mother.
The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bottle withsweets and said'Dear Child..u can take the sweets... but the child didnt take.The shopkeeper was surprised.. such a small child he is and why is he not taking thesweets from the bottle. Again he said take the sweets.... now mother alsoheard that and said.. beta take the sweets.. yet he didnt take... The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking the sweets... he himself took thesweets and gave to the child...... the child was happy to get two hands fullof sweets ....When returned to home Mother asked child... Why didnt you take the sweets... when shop keeper told you to take....Can you guess the response:

Child replies... Mom! my hands are very small and if i take the sweets i can only take few.. but now you see when uncle gave with his big hands.... howmany more sweets i got!

Moral:When we take we may get little but when God gives... HE gives us more beyondour expectations.... more than what we can hold......................

Not a mistake of Microsoft

The following reserved device names cannot be used as the name of a file:

CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8,
COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9.

Those names are reserved cause they are 'DOS' device names.

DOS device names are reserved words, and cannot be used as folder or file
names. When parsing a reference to a file or folder, Windows correctly
checks for the case in which a single DOS device name is used in the path,
and treats it as invalid.

10 ways to maintain a friendship

Focus on what you can give to a friend, not what you can get out of a friendship.

If being happy is your only motive for wanting someone to be your friend, then you are not being a real friend. Don't get caught up in keeping tabs on who has given most to the friendship. Give to your friends regardless of how much they give to you. You can make your friendship strong by giving gifts to your friends. It is not necessary that you only give them costly gifts. For a real and true friend, even a card can be more precious than the costliest gifts.

Encourage your friend

Real friends inspire and push each other to be the best at what they can be, rather than drag each other down.

They are happy when their friends help them in their goals. You, too, should encourage your friend by bucking him up and by making him realize that yes, he can do it, and by giving him a strong supportive hand.

Be willing to forgive

Mostly friendships get feeble when there is no one willing to forgive. Due to this, the friendship crumbles and individual wounds turn to grudges. So forgive your friend and move on.

Tactfully point out their mistakes

Pointing out a friend's mistakes can also make him angry, but this is one way of showing concern for him. If you really care, tactfully point out his mistake for his own good. But once you've brought the problem to your friend's attention, don't harp on about it all the time.

Don't walk away

When you see some of your friend's faults be patient. Be patient as your friend tries to change. Realize that nobody is perfect.

Be reliable

First thing in a true friendship is to be honest and reliable. You must assure your friend that you will always be there for him/her. Likewise, you must not mistrust your friend because friendship is very vulnerable to distrust.

Don't try to control your friends

Real friendship does not mean you always have to be together. It may be tempting to have a fun person all to yourself, and you might feel threatened when your friend spends time with others. If you are afraid to let your friends out of your sight, you are probably afraid of losing them. Good friendship will endure time spent apart: you and your friends may learn to appreciate each other even more. So don't push your friend to spend all his time only with you. No one likes to be bossed around.

Be there for the good and the bad times

Friends are to share feelings with ... to share things which one cannot share with others, to celebrate with when you are excited - and also to share the downs of life with. Don't think that you are a friend only for the good times. When your friend is upset about something, you must give him your full attention. Lend your friend a sympathetic ear and understand his feelings; celebrate his happiness but also be a part of his sorrows.

Learn to accept personality differences

It is not necessary that your friend has to be exactly like you in personality, attitude and beliefs. Your friend can very well possess a different personality from you. So be careful not to expect your friend to be exactly like you. Accept and appreciate him for what he is - a unique individual, just like you are.

Don't be a blabbermouth

Sometimes, while talking to others, we get so excited that we spill our friend's secrets in front of others. This breaks your friend's trust (and rightly so too), and deteriorates your friendship. So learn to keep each other's secrets.

Don't let arguments destroy your friendship

Suppose you are having a discussion with a friend, and he disagrees with what you think is true. Don't keep arguing until you get mad at each other. Just drop the subject of conflict. Your desire to win the argument may ruin your friendship, so the easiest way of closing a controversial topic is to say, "Maybe you are right". Pointless discussions achieve nothing.
